 ASSAB 8407 is the use of special steel-making technology and strict quality control and organization to get the high purity fine steel, 8407 the isotropic (isotropic) than the conventional refining system H13 better. This mold resistance to mechanical fatigue and thermal stress fatigue properties more valuable, such as die-casting molds, forging dies and extrusion tooling. Therefore, the use of mold hardness comparable 8407 to provide 1-2HRC Putuo H13 without sacrificing toughness. Hardness can reduce the occurrence of thermal cracking, to provide die life.
